However, this does not mean the `Keywords` Meta Tag is entirely useless. The `Keywords` element can help categorise your page but it is very important not to use too many keywords - only use keywords that are actually relevant to your site. Selecting certain keywords for certain pages is essential for good SEO. Probably the most useful part of the Meta Tag is the `Title`. The `Title` is used by browsers and by many search engines as the title for the link when displayed in the search results - it is usually the first thing a searcher sees. Other important code elements include the effective use of H1, H2 and H3 header tags and the use of relevant keywords in the alternative text or `ALT tags` for images and other on-page elements.
